Co-Op Programs

The co-operative advertising program includes a combination of discounted advertising and free promotional opportunities that establish a “win/win” relationship among Amelia Island lodging partners, attractions, restaurants, shops and the AITDC. Opportunities (priced starting at $350) are offered to partners on a first come-first served basis, throughout the year. The AITDC negotiates special rates and underwrites the cost of the ads by at least 50%. You can also take advantage of added-value opportunities such as co-op themed e-mail marketing, complimentary creative services, Reader Service leads and ongoing sweepstakes and promotions.

2019 Co-Op Program - Overview, policy and registration forms (digital and print)

Cooperative programming allows you extend your brand and reach, more travelers while optimizing your buying power and marketing budget. The AITDC follows the Visit Florida strategy that everything is “co-op-able.” In the new fiscal year, the AITDC will offer a cooperative advertising program as well as promotional and travel trade opportunities. All opportunities are offered to partners on a first come-first served basis.


The AITDC digital co-ops will allow partners to capitalize on the Amelia Island brand and on the AITDC's marketing investments. Digital co-ops include TripAdvisor, video production and the AICVB eblast opportunity. Advertising space may be reserved by completing the co-op forms and returning to Amy Boek,

Please note that digital coops are sold on a first come, first served basis. Placements cannot be "held" and are guaranteed only upon a signed contract being delivered and counter-signed by AITDC. Failure to send appropriate creative for a placements results in a forfeited campaign, and AITDC reserves the right to roll that campaign to another partner. If another partner does not replace the first contracted partner, first partner will be responsible for payment of 100% of contracted costs.

There is limited quanitity of co-op opportuniteis available, including AICVB eblasts. Following the initial offering, should any monthly inventory remain, partners can purchase a second drop. Based on historical data and examination of optout reasons, subscribers respond poorly to frequency greater than once monthly coop emails.

Partner will be responsible for providing creative, to specification, directly to publisher/media partner following an email introduction. AITDC reserves the right to approve creative, images and messaging to be "on brand" with Amelia Island and its audience prior to a campaign going live.

Partner may correspond directly with publisher/media partner for reporting including screen shots, impressions, and clicks.

AITDC does not provide graphic design services but may in some cases be able to provide introductions to agencies or individuals who may accept that work for a fee. AITDC does not receive any referral incentives for such introductions.


The 2019 advertising co-op includes traditional print placements in lifestyle publications in our target markets. The AITDC negotiates special rates with all publications and underwrites the cost of the ads by 50% for lodging partners and 25% for attractions and restaurants with creative branded for the partner. Full details of the print co-op opportunities are available in the separate co-op packet. The AITDC will place the ad space for the partner but the partners are responsible for providing creative materials directly to the publication.
